I’m somewhat sad that this wedding has ended. With its closure, it ended the summer wedding season and placed a hold on Elise and my dynamic duo skills. This was another wedding that I second shot for Elise Lukow Photographry, such a blessing. The wedding was held in my hometown, Hastings, NE and it was such a pleasure to be around so many cheerful people. Dena’s dress was gorgeous, as was she. It was one of those dresses that you knew was made for that bride. Hand clasped in hand, Dena and Rich turned to see one another and embrace for the day’s events. The ceremony was held in the beautiful St. Cecilia church. If I were Dena, I could see how a person could become weak in the knees standing next to such a handsome and genuine man like Rich. After a hop on the party bus to visit Murphy’s, the wedding party moved along to the reception.
For those of you that do not RIch, he has a strong love for the Hawkeyes. Bleh (I’m a proud Husker fan). Sure enough, everything from the groom’s cake, garter, best man toast, and Hawkeye anthem, Rich was a proud supporter of his team and made sure everyone knew it. There may or may not have been a dance off between Hawkeye and Husker fans.
It was a beautiful wedding shared by an even more beautiful couple. Congratulations, Dena and Rich! You are very blessed to have one another to share this life with and to God be the glory.
